Full-Time Vicar Position – St John the Baptist, Te Puke
The Diocese of Waiapu is seeking to appoint a Vicar for St John the Baptist, Te Puke. Known as the “Kiwifruit Capital of the World”, Te Puke is situated 28 kilometres southeast of Tauranga, with a mainly Maori and European population, and a growing Indian presence due to employment in the kiwifruit industry.
The parish has strong mission links with the local community including the running of an Op-shop, and the oversight of Eucharist services in each of the three rest home facilities in Te Puke.
The successful applicant will have strong leadership, liturgical and pastoral skills, relate well to children and young adults, and have a strong mission focus particularly to the local community.
