A thriving Local Shared Ministry Parish with over ten years experience in working as an effect team encouraging the development of the congregations’ gifts. An Anglican Care eldercare village on site extends the ministry offered by the parish which also has a growing and very successful drama ministry amongst the children and youth. Worship, while grounded in the Anglican tradition is always stimulating and varied.

Relaxed traditional Eucharist on Sunday; meditative half hour on Thurs; all services begin at 9.45am.
Ethos: All welcome, with opportunities for all ages to be nurtured and encouraged to grow in faith and love.
Ethnicity: Mainly Pakeha, but up to four ethnic groups present. Some Te Reo used in worship.
Children: Seen as extremely important. They are included in all aspects of worship and their ministry is recognised.
Social: Refreshments and fellowship after every service; games afternoons and evenings; video evenings; petanque competitions with retirement village; parish lunches and dinner; Maundy Thurs dinner.
Training: Regular session after fourth Sunday service; two home groups; parishioners assisted to attend training seminars.
Outreach: Base for Ezee Meals; support of local Bible in schools; “Chain Reaction” (Youth drama group); “Music and Movement” for pre-schoolers; activities with St Barnabas Close retirement village next door; support for ‘Progress Ngongotaha’ (community committee) activities; op shop; ecumenical focus.
