St Augustine’s and St Luke's, Southern Napier

St Augustine’s is situated in the midst of Southern Napier's very class-diverse suburbs of Marewa, Maraenui, Pirimai, Onekawa, Napier South and Te Awa.  A compact and middle-of-the-road Anglican parish, visitors to St Augustine's and St Luke's nonetheless always find in us a warmth and care and deep faith in Jesus.

Our Worship and Outreach:
Unfortunately due to earthquake risk, St Augustine's church house on Riverbend Road is closed, although our hall on Riverbend Road is still a busy utilities area for us.
Our regular services with communion at St Luke's are:
8.00am and 9.30am Sundays
10.00am Thursdays

Our 9.30am Sunday and 10.00am Thursday services are both accompanied by keyboardists, uplifting hymns and singing groups.   A youth chorister singing group occasionally also accompanies 9.30am Sunday service.
Since the middle of 2013 our Parish has been exploring a less formal style of worship every fourth Sunday afternoon of the month.   "PRAISE @4:30 followed by shared KAI" operates from St Augustine's hall.

Bible Study:
We explore the scriptures in a smaller 'home group' setting Mondays at 1.30pm.

Children:
Kids' Time for children runs during 9:30am Sunday service in school term time.

Op Shop:
Our hall shop offering bargain price second-hand goods is open inside our hall Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Chat'N'Chai:
Fellowship over a free hot drink project now runs concurrently with Op Shop on Tuesdays.

A Parish Available to Serve:
Our parish is available at any of our contact numbers to talk with you about a substantial family ceremony.   We can also visit to talk, pray or share communion with you in your home during illness, significant weariness or any emotional challenge.
